Ralph, Michelle and Amanda

Hello,
We are Ralph, Michelle and Amanda from Unadilla, Georgia. We hope as you're reading our letter you can envision how much we would cherish your child in our lives. The courage that brought you to make this decision, will guide you to experience the love in our family. We know first hand how wonderful open adoption can be for everyone, so we are very excited about bringing another child into our home through open adoption.

There are so many things we are all looking forward to with another child in our family. Rocking in Great Grandmothers rocking chair, singing the baby to sleep, as we did with Amanda. Watching in awe as he or she grows inches and pounds at every well baby doctor visit. The excitement and heart warming feeling when you know for the first time that your little bundle of joy has focused in on your face, and given you that ear to ear smile. Those tears of joy when your child goes to their first day at school and says, I'm a big kid now Mom, don't cry, I'll be just fine.

Amanda can't wait to be a big sister, she went through all of her favorite books, and picked out the ones she wants to read to her baby sister or baby brother, she has also set aside some of her paints and paint books so she can show her brother or sister how to paint and stay inside the lines. Amanda started 4K, and she said that she will share her desk, and show her brother or sister the play ground.
     
My husband Ralph has always been one of the most fun loving and generous people I know, he is a natural born Dad. No matter where he is or what he is doing, he always makes time for family and friends. He retired from the Air Force in May 2000, and he is now a stay at home carpenter. We live out in the country and some of our neighbors are widows, so when they need someone to help around their house, he's more than happy to help. He loves building things and I love to redecorate, so we are a great, match.

My wife Michelle is a very loving, caring and outgoing person. She loves to cook, paint, read, garden, and make ceramic pigs for the annual Big Pig Jig cook off. She also enjoys doing charity work with the local animal shelters. We have 5 dogs, 2 cats, fish and any other animal Amanda finds to bring home, so you can say that we are lovers of all animals (except snakes). She co-owns a business with her mother so her hours are flexible and Grandmother is putting a nursery in at the office so the baby will have hugs and kisses all day long. Michelle is a great Mom, she loves with a heart and a half.
